LED bulbs have very low energy consumption, so on vehicles with computer-controlled bulb operation checks, flickering, non-functioning, or incorrect burnt bulb warnings may occur even with an installed LED bulb with a CANBUS decoder. This usually prevents operational errors on most vehicles, but not all. On these vehicles, incorrect burnt bulb messages may still appear despite using an LED bulb with CANBUS. In this case, an additional intermediate CANBUS smart decoder needs to be added to the bulb.
