LED bulbs have very low energy consumption, so on vehicles with computer-controlled bulb operation checks, flickering, non-functioning, or incorrect burned-out bulb warnings may occur even with an installed LED bulb with a CANBUS decoder. This usually prevents operational errors on most vehicles, but not all. On these vehicles, incorrect burned-out bulb messages may still appear despite using a LED bulb with CANBUS. In this case, an additional intermediate CANBUS smart decoder needs to be added to the bulb.
