LED bulbs have very low power consumption, so on vehicles with computer-controlled bulb operation checks, flickering, malfunction, or false warnings about bulb burnout may occur even with an installed LED bulb with a CANBUS decoder. This usually prevents operational errors on most vehicles, but not all. On these vehicles, even with the use of a CANBUS LED bulb, false messages about bulb burnout may still occur. In this case, an additional intermediate CANBUS smart decoder needs to be added to the bulb.
